A full day tour we will start with a visit to the Dam Irrigation to see …….. Then we proceed to the village to start the tour with a welcome from the locals and then visit to a Balinese Elementary school (subject to school holidays) to get the feeling of interaction with the kids in the atmosphere of teaching and learning process. moving on to visit a unique Balinese houses setting where over fifteen families from one ancestor are living harmoniously together in one compound to enjoy its natural beauty while gaining knowledge about daily activities of the local people. Walking along with a local farmer toward rice field could be a new experience in your life as you get involved in traditional rice cultivating process up to planting rice. Enrich your knowledge with numbers of tropical fruit and spice plantations, while a local will demonstrate a coconut climbing demonstration, then the young coconut is served for your refreshment. After being a farmer for over four hours a traditional set menu lunch is served in Balinese house compound together with the family.
Reviewed 26 October 2015 Excellent experience of life in a Bali village”Tastefully organised, genuine local guide, lovely visit to a local primary school, fascinating access into a typical family compound, fun experience sitting on the plough in a rice padi and planting rice seeds, excellent local food. This was a real highlight of our trip. You can be cynical that it was 2hrs and orchestrated but for time constrained Western families who want to gain a better understanding of life in the real Bali this was a first class opportunity not to be missed.
